Everything is stellar on this release, but Eric Stucke’s vocal presence is maybe the highlight of the album. He’s a perfect fit for this music, and he adds touches to his performance that really make it stand out. A Corpsegrinder level front man. One of the better death metal albums in recent memory. Properly barbaric old-school styled death metal from Indianapolis bringing sharp riffs and bludgeoning drums. Cutting through the murk are more howled caustic vocals that are at first more thrash / heavy metal suited (ish), but end up being far more tortured and pained than either of those genres could support.
