Bleedin' Guts Mikey Esteban González's vocal performance is fuckin' vicious. Man barks and screams like a motherfucker possessed. The riffs are sloppy yet precise. Very much in the German vein of Thrash but embellished with tasty basswork that immediately reminds you of Steve DiGiorgio. Speed is the name of the game. You want fast? You got it! As for the riff craft, Choose Your Death decapitates the competition and takes no prisoners.

BEHEAD was formed in 2011 in Talagante (Chile) by Francisco Vasquez (Vocals/Guitars), Esteban Gonzalez (Guitars) & Valentina Tudela (Drums). In 2014, BEHEAD recorded their first demo called “Rising Malevolence” highly influenced by 80s Thrash Metal bands from Germany.

Since 2014, the band decided to turn their musical proposal a bit darker, taking some influences from the American Death Metal Scene from the 90s. After several changes in their line-up, the band released the second demo “Fatal Violence”.

Since then, BEHEAD has been actively working on their new and first full length called “Choose your Death”, to be released in cassette by Burning Coffin Records in August 2022. The current line-up is formed by Esteban (Voice and Guitar) Maximiliano (Guitar) Ignacio (Bass) and Javier Salgado (Drums). About the new album, “Choose your Death” summons from the furious abyss with frenetic and raging riffs, which constantly crush and pulverize with devilish guitar solos your soul into an eternal agony.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). The previous albums didn’t convince as effectively, but everything fits together here. It has barbaric but clear production. The drums sound like they belong in a reboot of Conan. True menace is felt from the vocals. Imprecation sounds like a band that will do you harm. Probably the most convincing orthodox death metal record since the 90s. Metallurgical Fire
